MEGAN
MPAS, PA-C
Megan is the founder and owner of Uptown Skin and Aesthetics, established in 2025. With more than 12 years of experience in medical dermatology and over a decade specializing in cosmetic injectables, she brings a unique blend of expertise, precision, and artistry to every treatment. Her passion for skin health and commitment to natural-looking results guide her approach to advanced aesthetic care.
What sets Megan's approach apart is the fusion of medical precision with artistic insight. She takes pride in creating customized treatment plans that are both results-driven and tailored to each individual’s unique features and goals. Her commitment to delivering high-quality care in a warm, welcoming, and personalized setting is at the heart of everything she does, ensuring each patient feels confident and supported throughout their aesthetic and skincare journey.
Megan earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in 2012, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Health Promotion and Fitness at the University of Texas at Austin.
An Arizona native, Megan enjoys spending time in Pinetop, Arizona, and along the Oregon Coast. Outside of her professional life, she loves relaxing with her husband and three daughters.
ANDREA
AESTHETIC COORDINATOR, LE, CLT
Andrea brings more than 20 years of advanced aesthetics experience to Uptown Skin and Aesthetics. Her career began in Chicago’s Gold Coast and North Shore, where she trained alongside some of the city’s most respected providers and developed a reputation for precision, safety, and exceptional outcomes.
With a strong foundation in skin science and treatment planning, Andrea is known for achieving remarkable results—often in less time than average—through her deep understanding of aesthetic interventions and her commitment to the safest, most effective applications.
At Uptown, Andrea leads all patient consultations and designs fully customized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. She also mentors the Uptown aesthetics team, ensuring every patient benefits from the highest level of expertise, care, and ethical standards.
Passionate about making aesthetics transparent and approachable, Andrea is dedicated to creating experiences that are safe, results-driven, and empowering for every patient.
Outside of her professional role, Andrea is a proud mother of four grown children. She enjoys staying active at the gym, attending concerts, horseback riding, cooking, and traveling.
NATALIE
BAS, CMA, CLT
Natalie is a dedicated and compassionate medical professional with a strong background in dermatology and aesthetics. She began her academic journey at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she was a student-athlete and served as captain of the university’s prestigious 9-time NDA National Championship dance team. From 2017 to 2020, Natalie pursued and earned her Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting, becoming an AAMA-certified Medical Assistant shortly after graduation.
Following her graduation, Natalie relocated to Arizona in the summer of 2020 to further her education. She attended Arizona State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Entrepreneurship and Innovation. While completing her degree, she continued working as a Medical Assistant in dermatology and aesthetics alongside Megan Shoen, gaining hands-on experience and refining her clinical skills.
Natalie’s extensive background in dermatology inspired her to become an ADHS-certified Laser Technician. Today, she works closely with the Uptown team, helping clients achieve their aesthetic goals through personalized, laser-safe treatments designed to deliver optimal results for every skin type.
Outside of her professional life, Natalie is married to her high school sweetheart. She enjoys crafting, writing, spending quality time with her family, relaxing with her beloved cat, and continuing to dance, a lifelong passion she still pursues today.
MAXIE
BA, LE
As a Licensed Aesthetician, Maxie brings a modern perspective and a meticulous touch to every treatment. Trained in the latest skincare techniques and industry standards, she is dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best through personalized care and attention to detail.
With a passion for skincare and a warm approach, Maxie is committed to building trust and confidence with each client. Whether it's a relaxing facial, targeted treatment, or consultation on skincare goals, she strives to create a positive, welcoming experience from the very first visit.
Maxie began her education at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies as well as competing with the 7x National Champion St. Cloud State University Dance Team as a student-athlete. After relocating to Arizona, Maxie pursued her aesthetics education and professional training at IMAj Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. During her time at IMAj, she gained in-depth knowledge of skincare science, advanced facial techniques, and the latest in aesthetic technology. The hands-on experience and expert instruction she received helped her to build a strong foundation in both clinical and holistic skincare practices, preparing her to provide personalized, results-driven treatments for a wide range of skin types and concerns.
When she's not in the treatment room, you can find Maxie continuing to pursue passions of dance and fitness, as well as continually learning and staying up-to-date on new trends and technologies in the aesthetics industry to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
